Books Added to My TBR (e.g., books I just learned about that I’m excited to read… maybe)

Notable Meals (new recipes, old favorites, and restaurant items we ate this month)

  • Soft serve ice cream at Jimmie Cone.
  • Burrata and nectarine salad on butter lettuce.

Television, Movies, and Music (watching and listening)

  • The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins is really funny. I know zero about American football, so I didn’t think I would like it. But they almost never talk about football. Tracy Morgan and Daniel Radcliffe are fantastic.
  • We finished Widow’s Bay. That was the best thing we saw all year. It’s creepy more than scary, and you’re laughing too much to be tense. I cannot wait for season two.
  • We loved Make That Movie. Some episodes were better than others. We especially liked Bog Prom and the Yooglet.

  • Trying to set a limit on how many things I’m worried about.

I decided I don’t like butter lettuce. Or maybe it just goes bad too fast in my fridge. I’ll stick with Romain and the odd spring mix.

I listened to a cassette tape of The Cure the other day. I realized I have two of the tapes (and at least 1 copy of the cd) and I think it’s because I wore one out. Anyway, then I had to buy a box set of cds so I could get the songs that were on the tape because they weren’t on the cd version of the cassette.

I’m watching a lot of true crime. I was getting super irritated with the number of female murderers featured. The series was making it out like there are comparable numbers of male and female murderers, when it’s more like 70:1.

I think the limit on things you are worried about is a good idea. I hope it helps!
Yay to the kids being home, and being adult and succeeding and capable. I feel proud of them and I have never met them! lol
I’ve had Widows Bay on my to-watch list. I hope the name is not ominous, or too soon, but if it makes me laugh, I’m prepared to risk it.
