My Mac laptop has started to insert an extra space in random spots. So nine out of ten times when I use the spacebar, it puts one space. But one out of ten times, it puts two spaces. It is really frustrating. And it means I need to constantly scan everything I write for weird spacing.
Has anyone else out there had (and solved) this problem?

Yesterday, I drove to four stores to find a tube of my cinnamon-flavoured toothpaste. Once upon a time, this toothpaste was everywhere. Now it is pretty much nowhere. I’ve thought about switching to mint, but life is too short to give up a toothpaste that makes me happy.

The twins just wrapped up their final middle school book battle. Their school has a book battle team, and they compete against other schools in the county in a giant book trivia fest each spring. So they have a year to read dozens of books as a team, and then they go and compete against other schools who have read the same books.
They’re thinking of expanding it to high school, but if they don’t, their book battle career is over.
I kinda sorta wish I was on a book battle team and that we went to book competitions. Does this exist? Like everyone gets the same list of books to read, and you have several months to prepare and drill each other on facts. And then you get together for a trivia competition that pulls the questions from those books.
If it doesn’t exist, would you join if I started this and the battle was online?

Not sure about your laptop anatomy, but my instinct says you may want to clean the keyboard inside? check the contacts?
(If it were my laptop it would help to remove bits of chocolate)
As for symptom anxiety reduction I would first type whole text, and when you’re done use the search and replace function to remove double spaces. (But I’m sure you don’t want to have to do this all the time)
Maybe it helps to remember that not everyone has such a keen eye as you do when it comes to spacing.
My dentist advised a certain type of toothpaste to help with my enamel. It took me ages to get used to the other flavour. I don’t think I have ever heard of cinnamon toothpaste before.
OMG, just found out that our local eco store has a cinnamon toothpaste, but also ginger, salty coconut, charcoal, eucalypt and aloe vera. You opened a new world for me! (that I may not enter due to enamel problems)
I cannot imagine cinnamon toothpaste, after a lifetime of mint. But I do love cinnamon flavours.
The book battle does not sound fun to me. It would ruin the reading experience, I think, feeling that I had to study and memorise trivia, rather than being free to read the next one.
