I really like this game. It has had staying power, like Bracket City and 368 Chickens. Every day, you get a picture turned into a 7 x 7 square of dots. Click the dot, and it breaks into smaller dots. Click those dots, and they break into even smaller dots. If you could click every dot, you would see the pixelated image. But the trick is that you only have 60 clicks.

I don’t stress about the clicks (for instance, I don’t try to keep it to only 10 clicks) and find that I can usually guess the image correctly in 30 – 40 clicks.

This game annoys me for two reasons. First, it often resets, especially if you are playing on your phone and walk away from it. It is annoying to need to go through a board again.

The second reason is that I cannot pass level 3. LEVEL 3! I keep coming close, but then I forget how I got that far and mess up the pattern. I would keep at it, but I fear that if I’m having this much trouble with level 3, I will only be annoyed with level 4 and/or the game resetting and needing to win level 3 a second time.

But maybe it’s your cup of tea.

This fun game comes with a warning. The game resets every day at 5 pm ET (or maybe it’s 5 pm in your time zone), which means if you play it one day in the evening and then open the game the next morning, you won’t find a new board. I wish all games reset at midnight in your time zone.

Anyway.

If you were looking for something akin to Wordle but with colours, play Colorfle. It’s really hard because you have to mix the colours in the correct order to get the colour on the right side of the circle.

I adore this story about how Penn and Teller did a magic trick, and it’s a really good reminder that most things you’re impressed with require an extraordinary amount of time to accomplish.

It’s two-fold: The hours put in learning sleight of hand to get the correct card chosen and the months put in having the grass regrow.

But mostly, I love Teller’s quote: “Sometimes magic is just someone spending more time on something than anyone else might reasonably expect.” It’s something to keep in mind whenever making a comparison.

The best pig in the world died last night. I’m not ready to write about Beorn, but he was loved up until his last second on earth, and we continued to hold him and tell him he was loved long after he passed.
