1106th Friday Blog Roundup
It has been super quiet on the Internet this week. My feed reader contains very few blog posts.
Maybe we’re all a little uneasy at the moment. Or is that just me?

Stop procrastinating. Go make your backups. Don’t have regrets.
Seriously. Stop what you’re doing for a moment. It will take you fifteen minutes, tops. But you will have peace of mind for days and days. It’s the gift to yourself that keeps on giving.
As always, add any new thoughts to the Friday Backup post and peruse new comments to find out about methods, plug-ins, and devices that help you quickly back up your data and accounts.
And now the blogs…
*******
But first, second, helpings of the posts that appeared in the open comment thread last week. To read the description before clicking over, please return to the open thread:
- None… sniff.
Okay, now my choices this week.
Grumpy Rumblings posts random bullet points each week, which are not always random bullets of crap BECAUSE more than one made me pause and go, “huh.” Specifically, Taskmaster and spaghetti. I, too, have these thoughts about spaghetti with tomato sauce. (Assuming it was tomato sauce.)
Lastly, The Road Less Travelled has a review of The Women, but it’s followed by her own memories about Vietnam, including a story about a boy MIA from her mother’s hometown. It’s a sad story with closure, and she writes: “His name is inscribed on the memorial wall in Washington, D.C. If & when I ever get there (as I have wanted to do, ever since I was kid), his is the name I will look for. I won’t be able to tell my mom I was there… but I know she’d like that.” I found that really touching.
The roundup to the Roundup: It’s very quiet. Your weekly backup nudge. And lots of great posts to read. So what did you find this week? Please use a permalink to the blog post (written between October 16 – 23) and not the blog’s main URL. Not understanding why I’m asking you what you found this week. Read the original open thread post here.
