#Microblog Monday 541: Quentin Hates Birds
Not sure what #MicroblogMondays is? Read the inaugural post which explains the idea and how you can participate too.

One of the most amusing things about Quentin is he absolutely hates birds. There was an enormous storm the other day — thunder, lightning, pouring rain — and I went to check on him. But he was just munching on some dry food and looked up at me with curiosity.
But if he hears a bird chirping outside — and he always hears birds chirping outside — he emits a low warning growl. And then I have to remind him that I don’t control the birds. And they can’t harm him. And they’re less annoying than so many other things in life. I don’t think he believes me.

Are you also doing #MicroblogMondays? Add your link below. The list will be open until Tuesday morning. Link to the post itself, not your blog URL. (Don’t know what that means? Please read the three rules on this post to understand the difference between a permalink to a post and a blog’s main URL.) Only personal blogs can be added to the list. I will remove any posts connected to businesses or sponsored posts.

Oh Quentin. I love stories about him! My cats love to bird watch but they inexplicably hate the UPS man. I think it’s actually his truck, and he’s never given them any reason to be scared of him – he rarely even comes to our house and, if he does, leaves a package on the porch and goes immediately back to his truck. But they growl or hide the second he parks. It’s a running joke in our house now – “Hide! It’s the UPS man!” But they genuinely dislike him.
Ha! He would be growling all the time at my house! One of my dogs enjoys trying to chase birds, though he’s never allowed to get close enough for it to be a problem.
Haha! I had no idea guinea pigs could growl!
Ah, Quentin is smart! I like birds from a distance, but close up they are very growl-appropriate. Hilarious that a thunderstorm doesn’t faze him at all.
One of my cats hates birds. When she sees a bird (usually crows around here) one of her ears bends in a certain way like she’s really annoyed.
