#Microblog Monday 411: Stop Somewhere Good

Not sure what #MicroblogMondays is? Read the inaugural post which explains the idea and how you can participate too.

*******

I think I found this on A Strong Sense of Place, which makes sense because… travel. It’s a fun tool if you have two locations and you want to know what you’ll pass along the way. I’ve used it for two points in our area to see what is around me, and I’ve put in a common road trip we take to see what is along the way.

It kind of does make your drive fun as the name proclaims.

And I’m totally bummed that we went right by the oldest hat shop in the world this summer and didn’t even know it.

Are you also doing #MicroblogMondays? Add your link below. The list will be open until Tuesday morning. Link to the post itself, not your blog URL. (Don’t know what that means? Please read the three rules on this post to understand the difference between a permalink to a post and a blog’s main URL.) Only personal blogs can be added to the list. I will remove any posts that are connected to businesses or are sponsored post.

I like the idea of this, but not having much success on my iPad. Will try again tomorrow on my laptop (given that it’s almost midnight). I suspect it will be good for the US.

Interesting. Underneath the two locations entered, it suggests one thing (generally something very British sounding?), but the pin on the map suggests an entirely different (and more accurate!) attraction to visit…!

The site is not working well today, as it keeps giving me routes beginning (or ending) in Portugal and going further and further east. Thanks, but I don’t have time to drive to Thailand today…
