#Microblog Monday 400: 400 of Something

Not sure what #MicroblogMondays is? Read the inaugural post which explains the idea and how you can participate too.

*******

This is the 400th Microblog Monday. So… it’s been going for 7.6 years. A baby in comparison to the Friday Blog Roundup, which will soon reach its 16th anniversary and has over 800 posts. But still worth noting because the Internet is all about brief rises and falls. People start projects and end them. Something gets hot and then it’s not. But Microblog Monday has been trucking along, unchanged, for 400 posts. It’s small, barely used anymore, but still here.

Thank you for blogging, too.

Are you also doing #MicroblogMondays? Add your link below. The list will be open until Tuesday morning. Link to the post itself, not your blog URL. (Don’t know what that means? Please read the three rules on this post to understand the difference between a permalink to a post and a blog’s main URL.) Only personal blogs can be added to the list. I will remove any posts that are connected to businesses or are sponsored post.

Happy milestone, #MicroblogMondays! 🙂 And thank you, Mel, for creating it and giving us a reminder and a reason to write regularly — that even a short post is better than no post. 🙂 Even when I feel like I have nothing to write about, I try to put something together for a #MicroblogMondays post — and I’ve managed to contribute 369 times out of those 400 — not too bad! (I hashtag all my #MM posts as #MicroblogMondays, so it’s easy to count, lol.) Sometimes (a lot of times??) my posts aren’t always so micro — but it’s still a post!

I love your microblog mondays! It’s a touch point for the community in a really nice way!

Wow, 400! Congratulations, Mel! And fellow contributors! I have much to thank you for, because #Microblog Mondays kept me posting, when it would have been easy for me not to. I love structure, so this has kept me blogging almost every Monday on both my blogs. I stuck to the eight sentence limit for a long time, but then ditched it because it became too hard. According to blogger stats, I’ve done 370 posts (I miss the occasional one when I’m hosting visitors, travelling, or have had major life events) on No Kidding, and 342 on A Separate Life, so that’s probably more than anyone! lol Thanks for the inspiration.

Oh, and I always read the other contributors, and almost always comment too. I love that you bring us together in that way.

Happy anniversary, Microblog Mondays! I love it. Missed it this week due to a conference, but it is such a great way to connect with others and find new friends. I suck at the rules, but almost always try to keep it brief(er)!
