#Microblog Monday 387: Off-Schedule

Not sure what #MicroblogMondays is? Read the inaugural post which explains the idea and how you can participate too.

*******

I clearly missed the Roundup this week. I got behind on blog reading while on a trip because my phone was apparently eating data in enormous gulps. (As in, I would check email and eat up 100+ MB of data for a few emails.) So no feed reader for a few days. Cue sad trombone.

We dipped our toe into the travel-in-the-COVID-world pool, which was both strange and normal at the same time. We felt very comfortable wearing a mask everywhere and only doing takeaway from restaurants. It didn’t feel limiting at all to set our family limits and stick to them. I guess our limits didn’t limit us from doing what we needed to do to enjoy the trip.

I just used the world “limits” way too many times.

Anyway, I’m back. I’m off-schedule. I’m discombobulated. But I’m back and on wifi.

Are you also doing #MicroblogMondays? Add your link below. The list will be open until Tuesday morning. Link to the post itself, not your blog URL. (Don’t know what that means? Please read the three rules on this post to understand the difference between a permalink to a post and a blog’s main URL.) Only personal blogs can be added to the list. I will remove any posts that are connected to businesses or are sponsored post.

I’m glad you were able to travel comfortably. We did some day trips during our break and it felt so good. However my phone also did the “eating data in large gulps” thing that week and it was so frustrating. Here is to more traveling ahead!

I’m so glad you were able to get away. (I was a little worried when the Round Up didn’t appear.) You certainly deserved a break!

I also noted the absence of the Roundup… but then I remembered it was Passover weekend as well as Easter (and Ramadan, and a few other holidays!), and thought you were probably busy with related activities. Glad you had an enjoyable getaway!

We’ve booked plane tickets for the first time since pre-pandemic (other than a tiny bit of work travel for me) and I am very glad to hear that masking and take-out went ok!

Glad you enjoyed your trip.
I still feel uncomfortable going abroad, but I have enjoyed some weekend breaks away from Lisbon, I am discovering my country.

I’m glad you got to dip your toe in travel and get away! Ha ha, “cue sad trombone” — I can totally hear that “wah wah wah wahhhhhhhh.”

I’m glad you were able to travel in a way that was still comfortable for your family’s risk tolerance! Also it’s nice (and hopeful!) to hear that people are traveling in ways that don’t involve just tons of exposure!
