Making History

Happy Inauguration Day! I was hoping for this day four years ago; meaning, I was hoping 2020’s election would turn things back to helping rather than hurting. But I didn’t trust that we would be here. But now this moment is here, and even with all of the fear, all of the sadness over COVID-19, all of the losses we’ve experienced, I’m taking a few minutes today to clap as Biden and Harris are sworn in, making history.

Because this event is a small island of happiness in a sea of turmoil.

Because it’s a reminder that things change.

Yes. 4 years of hoping and waiting for this day. Will definitely take some time to celebrate and breath a long long sigh of relief.

Happy Inauguration Day! The last four years certainly exposed and brought to the surface the seedy underbelly of our country.

I hope you’ve had a lovely day! Nice to see intelligence, compassion, diversity and tolerance back in the WH. The world feels a better place today.

Happy happy day! I watched and cried and felt like I could breathe better. I loved the joy. I loved the hope, and optimism, Andy call first unity. And I LOVED Amanda Gorman reciting her poem. Such a wonderful change. And such a blue, blue sky with sunshine!
