#MicroblogMondays 163: Lucky He’s Cute

Not sure what #MicroblogMondays is? Read the inaugural post which explains the idea and how you can participate too.

*******

Linus has a new irritating habit.  I line the bottom of his cage with newspaper and then cover the newspaper with his bedding.  It makes clean up a little easier.

A few days ago, he realized the newspaper was underneath and he started pushing the bedding aside with his nose and then tearing off long strips of paper and depositing them on the floor outside his cage.  If I tell him to stop, he gives me a look as if to say, “What?  You don’t like that?  The tearing noise or the mess on the carpet?  Which one?”

He really is my puppy.  He whines if I go to pick up the kids without him.  When we get to the school, he pops up at attention, eagerly waiting for them.

He’s lucky he’s cute.

Tell me about your cute pet.

Those photos of Linus are very cute!

We had two cats. Gershwin was a dribbled. The happier he was, the more he dribbled. I used to keep a towel beside my chair in the living room, so he could sit on my lap without soaking my clothes! He was a such a loving cat, I couldn’t get mad at him. I miss him.

Ahh he’s cute. I never had a pet as I can’t take care of them but I enjoy admiring my friends’

Those pictures of Linus – so much personality! One of my cats, when she’s bored at night (like 3am) will paw at the bedroom doors of my daughters, knowing I’ll get up to stop her so she doesn’t wake them. This will continue 4,5 times… maddening. However, every night at dinner she will come from seemingly nowhere and jump into the chair of whoever has gotten up for water, etc, nose twitching, eyes squinty, ears back, hoping we won’t notice if she takes over the dinner plate in front of her. We call it her “pork tenderloin face” because that’s the food that makes her really crazy. She’s lucky she’s cute.

My cat yowls and wakes me up multiple times a night. It’s a good thing I love her. And I wrote a post about her.

After our last elderly cat died a few months ago we adopted two young five year olds. They both capture our kids’ fuzzy slippers, socks, etc. and carry them all over the house.

My sister & I only ever had one dog when we were toddlers, which we eventually took to live on our grandparents’ farm — where she was run over by a car. 🙁 It was my first experience with death, & I still remember it vividly.

At the moment, we are enjoying playing aunt & uncle to Oldest Nephew’s one-year-old miniature dachshund, who is a source of endless entertainment & Facebook/Instagram posts. 😉 I posted a photo of him in a post about pets earlier this year.

Oh my gosh! Linus is SOOOOO cute! I could forgive that face anything. Almost. My cat Lucky is super cute, which saves him when he jumps up on the table (or, when feeling particularly ignored, leaps up on top of the REFRIGERATOR), or knocks the stuff on the coffee table to the floor, or attacks the carpets. He just wants more love, really. I think it might be a little bit like having a three year old.

Awww. I always wanted a guinea pig as a child.

We have an elderly (age 12-13) golden retriever who was rescued from a backyard breeder in April 2009. Hunter is a very sweet boy, even though he can’t do as much these days due to advanced age and some health problems.

Jaxson and Linus would get along very well. Enough said

Gosh, he’s adorable!! I have 2 cats, one of whom thinks it’s his birthright to sit on the newspaper as soon as I open it. Lucky for him he’s adorable! 😉

He is cute! And so is his little carrier!

Linus is too cute.
Cinnamon, the 45 lb. poodle mix is a whirling dervish when she is excited. She likes to have her backside rubbed when we come home after absences. She does not like baths or any grooming. Scissors and clippers send her running for the hills (well, her crate).

Pete, the old guy, our brown tabby is still adjusting to life after his feline buddy, Buttah. He suffers the ministrations of the 45 lb poodle mix with as much aplomb as a curmudgeon, elder feline can muster.

It’s amazing how much one can get away with purely on our cuteness quotient .. and Linus is really lucky that he’s your pet and he’s being written about and he’s creating memories for you !
I have had lovebirds & two rabbits as pets. The story didn’t end well and scarred me so much that I never got back the courage to bring more of them home..

unfortunately , the story with me trying to link up my posts also is a little tragic .. here’s my post

Our ferret! He is the sweetest. Very active and playful and sweet temperament. He pops his head up ready to play whenever anyone goes near his “house.”

Only had one pet in my life besides a few goldfish. Years ago I had a cat, Cutie. One evening my husband and I were in the kitchen cooking dozens of potato latkes for an event. It got so smoky from the oil, we opened the door to our apartment to get in some air. Hours later, we were going to bed and realized we hadn’t seen Cutie for hours. We looked everywhere & finally found her calmly seated in the stairwell by an open window 2 floors below. We talked about all of the animals who rush in to save their owners in times of emergency. Cutie sensed danger and left.

I love that you take him to pick up the kids. Dex comes with me, too! But I don’t have a schmancy carrier.
