I think I’d take the hair stylist thing too as long as they weren’t going to do something that required me to spend an hour doing my hair every day. Like an hour with a round brush and flat iron. That’s not going to happen. I tend to be pretty calm about hair cuts etc though because I know that even if I don’t love it, it will grow back.

Of course, I always say if I won the lottery the first thing I’m getting is someone to wash/style my hair every day. Since I love it short..nothing really bothers me about hair, I actually feel MORE like myself in the days after a haircut, like I am MORE ME.
But yes, if they wanted to “Jessica Simpson” me up every day, have at it!

love the book title, my mom was asking what had been decided…even she wants to read it ! It’s the BEST title, I can’t wait for it.

For years and years and years I hoped my hair would grow really loooong. Dreamed of twirling it around, being able to sit on it, hiding in it.. But alas my hair doesn’t grow much past my shoulders. So donating 10 inches isn’t an option. If the hypothetical stylist would do extensions every now and then I would do it I think…

And free hair? Sign me up. The best haircuts I ever got were ones I scored for free during down time at my old job. I never had a say when a cut would be offered or what it would be. It was literally just a, “hey- I’m bored! Come sit in my chair.”

the hair deal. that’s my deal now. One really fancy colorist is in love with my hair and if i keep it longish he’ll keep coloring and highlighting for free. I could never afford him. My stylist works in a salon i cant afford so he cuts my hair in his home for less money and i let him make the decision

Yes, I would do it- as long as they styled my hair regularly too, since my skills are nil beyond pulling a brush through it.

I would love the stylist opportunity! I dream about someone snatching me off the street and giving me a fabulous hair cut. Frankly I never care how my ends up as long as I look better! I’ve had a few REALLY bad cuts, but usually I love them!

I would absolutely go with that deal! I used to have a stylist in San Diego who I let do that anyway. I never know what I want, so if I trust someone I’m willing to go with what they think is best! It takes the pressure off me!

i have no clue what to do when it comes to my hair. i have been going to the same girl for 14 years and she does a beautiful job- i just tell her to do whatever she thinks will look nice and she does! i think that is the main part-finding someone who you trust won’t make you look like an ass. someone with style greater than your own (not hard for me, who is completely lacking not just in the hairstyle area)
it sounds like you don’t get your hair cut enough to have found that one special person you want to spend all your cuts with. i hope it happens for you soon
