They are pretty cool. I don't go to your extent, but I can see how someone would.

I too love paint samples... my parents would roll my eyes when I begged to tak ea few home each time we went to the store. The first time I was asked to be a bridesmaid, the bride just handed me a strip of 5 blues, quite close to the blues you posted here, and said 'pick a dress that is in this cue family' -- and I thought I had died and gone to heaven!!!! thanks for reminding me of such a nice memory!

I also love paint samples. AND those awesome tiny books of ink colors (like everything Pantone has ever made) . We even had a hard time throwing away the paint samples when we were moving out of our last apartment.

I can relate to this completely. I have a friend who is a painter by trade and at his house he had one of those pain sample book things. It's about 12 inches long and maybe 2 inches wide and has tons and tons of paint samples in it. Every time I went over there I'd start looking through it and picking out colors and finally he just gave it to me. It's wonderful.

Total paint-sample lover. I actually saw a craft once that involved using strips of paint samples in a coordinating color array that were decoupaged onto a table-top. I've fantasized about completing that project for some time, but haven't gotten around to it yet...

I like paint samples, too!

When I was a kid, my dad was a chemical engineer, and he worked with polyethylenes. He would bring home necklaces of plastic chips of every shade, and I loved looking at them, clicking them, treating them like mala beads (even though I didn't know mala beads at the time).

But paint samples are even better because they have all the creative names.

My only experience with paint samples was in elementary school when the art teacher sent us all out to get paint samples to cut up for mosaics. Since I wasn't actually going to buy paint, I felt sheepish about taking them, hyper-moral little child that I was. Every time I pass a display full of paint samples, I think of that and feel a little sheepish.

I love them too, keep them long after we've picked a color and put it on the walls. Those blues in your post...were heavenly.
