Golden. Nothing to add in Mondegreens, but damn. I am putting "Jancefer" on my list for if we have another child. (Do you think it's unisex?)

I got nothing but I have read this more than once, most recently aloud to Wes, and I am crying laughing.

No mondegreens that I can remember, but I'm sure there are doozies in my past.

The Lushary being open is a g-d-send for me this week. I haven't been blogging about my pregnancy (16 weeks) because I just don't know how to handle it well... I'm always waiting for the other shoe to drop. And it sorta has. We just got the word that we have a 1 in 70 chance of having a child with Down's Syndrome. There was incredible pressure to do amnio and terminate if it was positive. I am still numb from the experience. We have consented to genetic counselling tomorrow, so this ride ain't over yet. (Maybe I should be blogging more...)

As for a drink, I'll have anything that is virtually strong. I need the intestinal fortitude to make it to Saturday!

So glad to know there's a word for it. One of my most embarassing mondegreens was in high school when I thought Salt N Pepa's "None of Your Business," where I heard "the difference between a hooker and a ho' ain't nothing but her feet."
I figured hookers walk the streets in really high heels, so they must have ganked up feet. Of course, they were really saying "the difference between a hooker and a ho' ain't nothing but a FEE."

Reading about the Wolvog's name change and these othermondegreens has made my morning. I laughed til I had tears running down my face.
I know I'm late to the party, but I'd love a margarita on the rocks plenty of salt on the rim. Thanks.
And, we're gearing up for a frozen cycle, tentative transfer date of April 19, and heard from our RE that with our third failed IVF we've most likely moved beyond MFI into the realm of unexplained infertility..... can you make that two margaritas? I think I need one for each hand.

These are too funny! Love the "Hang On, Snoopy" and "Donuts make your brown eyes blue," :-)

Back in the Dark Ages when I was in the 3rd grade, our Music teacher asked if anyone knew the words to The Battle Hymn of the Rebulic. Immediately my hand shot up and the teacher picked me to write the words on the blackboard. With great confidence I strode to the front of the class and wrote: "My knives have seen the glory..." Oooops. I still remember the teacher trying to hide her amusement as she corrected it to read: "Mine eyes have seen the glory..."

I'll take a Guinness as well, for St Patty's Day, since I can't have one in RL tonight - I'm mid-2ww after our first IVF (transfer Monday).

As far a lyrics - I've nodded along to a lot of yours and will share two more.
Secret Asian Man (for Secret Agent Man). I think a lot of people have thought that one.

Hang On, Stupid (or sometimes, Hang on, Snoopy) for "Hang on Sloopy" by the McCoys (a terrible 60's pop song). I could never figure out why this guy was calling a girl he liked stupid.

Hi all! This is my first time posting and I'm loving all the mondegreens, I'm sure I have a few of my own, but I just can't think of them right now. I would LOVE a Newcastle Brown Ale tonight. Happy Saint Patrick's Day!! I'm so happy to have found this site, I'm two days away from my very first egg extraction, am full of hormones and counting down the minutes until hubby gets to jab me in the hip with a shot of HCG tonight. From reading here and lurking on many of all your blogs (and plan on posting soon!) I was completely inspired to start my own blog and would love all the hugs and support I can get. Thanks for the beer!

My kids watch "Caillou" on PBS, and I thought that part of the theme song was, "Growing up sometimes sucks, I have had enough". A little dark for children's television! I just looked up the lyrics and it's actually "Growing up is not so tough, except when I've had enough". Oh.

I'll take a Guinness, which is actually what I'm going to have with our St Patrick's Day meal today (corned beef, cabbage, soda bread). I'm recovering from a miscarriage at 8 weeks and in addition to the emotional roller coaster I am also really physically exhausted. Maybe our family dinner (first time I'm making this for my kids, which I'm excited about because my parents made the same meal every year when I was growing up) will perk me up. Here's hoping!

Thank you for the term "mondegreen". My classic story- when I was in Kindergarten, we had a substitute teacher who taught us Japanese. I came home from school proclaiming I knew my "itchy knee socks" when I really meant " ichi, ni, san"- one, two, three.

I'll take a green beer. My MIL is in town while DH is away on business. We get along so it's not all bad, annoying but not bad. It's my own mom inviting herself on our vacation that is driving me nuts. My mom is a bit jealous so she needs the same number of days with her grandsons. Yes, she keeps track. We lie.....
