At first I used to dream that I would be the youngest ever winner, then that I would be the first British winner in decades, and even now I sometimes dream of being the oldest ever winner. I did actually win a tennis trophy once, as a teenager - it was a huge tournament, and for those who lost in the first round of the tournament, there was a plate competition, so that everyone got at least two matches. In my age group, there were only 8 girls, so losing the first round of the main competition got me through to the semi-final of the plate. Then my opponent didn't turn up, so I got a bye into the final, lost the final and was awarded a handsome runner-up trophy. Perhaps I could have that sort of luck at Wimbledon some year... However, I haven't performed (other than karoke) since I was in college. So, I'm with Astrid---my signing, Broadway-loving self would LOVE to obtain a Tony Award.
