hey everone i just wanted to add to this thread. we have been ttc since 01/07/2008 and after a sucession of doc appts i was diagnosed with PCOS, the OH aparently has super sperm had really high count at last test. sooo in july 2010 we started clomid 50mg but didnt ov, bumped to 100mg and got our first BFP aug/sept 2010 but sadly m/c @ around 7 weeks. we started back on the clomid right away and day 21 tests show I am ovulating but we are still to get our BFP :( last month our cons added 1500mg of metformin into the mix and after some pretty nasty side effects to begin with (tmi wont go into details :S) i feel fine on it now. currently in 2ww after 9th cycle of clomid but first full cycle with metformin added so keeping everythig crossed this works for us i have a good feeling for this cycle and have let the 2ww madness creep in have even given pineapple core a go after reading about it on a forum... hope you all get where you want to be really soon it good to know you're not alone.

So after reading most poss here I feel compelled to write. I am 36 y/o my husband is 40 and we have a 9 y/o son. It took 16mons to conceive the son but did not really know when I was ovulating then. Now I have been taking my temps since Feb '10 and still no pg. I have ovulated regularly on CD 18-19 but my LP is 10-11 days. My doc has put me on 50mg of clomid (CD5-9) which I began Tuesday. So far no side effects. I did have a 21day progesterone test prior to taking the clomid and it came back 7.4. I have not had any other test performed, but think that I will request a hsg next month. You know I would really like to hear success stories about clomid.

Hi everyone, I'm 24 been ttc for over an year. I don't have any kids, but i'm praying for one very soon. I don't have a regular cycle so I took the provera 10mg fir 1o days. I took two doses of clomid 100 days 5-9. I went back to doctor and they raised my dose to 150 mg days 3-9. After reading some of the comments above it really mad me nervous. I didn't experience very many symptoms. Just hot flashes now and then and a little problem with my vision. I wish everyone luck that is going through the stage of ttc.

Hi everyone, I'm 27 and my husband and I have recently begun our journey to starting a family. I have always had irregular periods and have recently been diagnosed with PCOS. We have tried the Provara Challenge coupled with Metformin. That didn't work. Next we did Provara, Metformin, and birth control to try and get my cycles regular. The latest, which I am starting tonight, is Clomid. I have been reading everyone's experiences and am feeling a little nervous about taking Clomid. I am most nervous about the possible vision problems...has anyone experienced this?

I am an "older" mom, I don't feel old, I don't look old but I am told that it's like dog-years when you are trying to have a baby, it seems being 44 makes me 100...

I am on my second cycle of clomid (100mg) I am day8 of my cycle and my OPK did turn yesterday. I read that it could turn while on clomid so I didn't panic. Last month went well but I missed my ovulation, I was scanned day 14 and what they found was a 30mm follicle that looked like it had already done it's job. This month I am going in on the 12th day of my cycle, because that is when my OPK turned last month.

I have a 24 year old daughter a 10 year old son and my youngest
daughter passed away at age 19 two years ago. I have always wanted a big family, a great big family.

My husband has had a vasectomy so we need to use a donor, and it seems that one of my ovaries jumped ship, it fell...very sad, my doctor tells me it isn't age related, maybe adhesions that pulled it down.

I have had no bad symptoms on clomid. I was afraid because I am a big mean PMS girl. I felt great while on it, my appetite increased but that could be anticipation. After my last dose I got "hot flashes" not horrible just a little warm at night under all the blankets then back to being cold again.

I won't take clomid for more than three months, my fingers are crossed this works this month. The doc tells me less than 3% chance but he is supportive andd helping me make this happen.

Good luck ladies, there is nothing more beautiful than loving a baby.
